Updated Terms of Service for Galaxy Europe

New Terms of Service for usegalaxy.eu - please review and accept to keep using the service

Usegalaxy.eu has published its updated Terms of Service. The new Terms bring clearer rules on acceptable use, account maintenance, data retention, and your rights under the GDPR.

  • Inactivity policy: accounts with no login for 12 months are deactivated; user-generated data is deleted after a further 6 months.
  • Automated protective measures: abusive behaviour may trigger an automatic suspension, with human review available on request.
  • Your responsibility: you must keep your email address valid.

pyGenomeTracks in Galaxy

Plot entire genomes in a publication-ready way, right inside Galaxy.

pyGenomeTracks lets you stack multiple genomic formats (including BED, GTF, bedgraph, bigWig, fasta, maf and Hi-C tracks) into a single publication-ready figure. You can run it on any Galaxy instance with no local install, and tweak track order, colors, and scales interactively before exporting a high-resolution image.

Storage Management on Galaxy Europe

250 GB free quota, short-term scratch storage, and bring-your-own-storage options.

Every user on the European Galaxy server gets 250 GB of free storage. Need more? You can use 2 TB of short-term scratch storage for method development, export results to public archives like ENA or Zenodo, or even bring your own storage (S3, iRODS, OneData, and more). The storage dashboard helps you clean up and stay within quota.

Galaxy is cross-domain, Galaxy Earth System Sciences (GESS)

Open-source, reusable tutorials and tools for Earth system sciences and data-driven research

The Galaxy for Earth System Sciences (GESS) is a community-driven initiative offering free, FAIR, and open-source e-learning materials and computational workflows tailored for Earth system sciences. Hosted on Galaxy Europe and supported by Data Terra, GESS provides tutorials and tools for climate modeling, remote sensing, geospatial analysis, environmental data processing, and more.

Galaxy Training Network

Collection of 500+ tutorials developed and maintained by the worldwide Galaxy community

The Galaxy Training Network (GTN) is a collection of free, FAIR, open-source, reusable e-learning materials for life sciences and beyond.

Here you will find hundreds of tutorials covering scientific topics such as life sciences, digital humanities, earth sciences, imaging, machine learning, and many more. In addition, there are also tutorials for Galaxy tool developers, Galaxy administrators, and for educators looking to re-use the GTN tutorials in their classes or workshops.

Our mission is to provide a platform for accessible, interactive training materials for everyone.

Intergalactic Workflow Commission

A curated collection of high-quality, production-ready Galaxy workflows.

The Intergalactic Workflow Commission (IWC) maintains a vetted library of best-practice Galaxy workflows for common analyses. RNA-seq, variant calling, metagenomics, and more. Each workflow is versioned, tested, and ready to import directly into your Galaxy instance so you can run reproducible pipelines without building them from scratch.

Galaxy Community Help

A community forum where Galaxy users can find answers, troubleshoot problems, and share solutions.

Galaxy Community Help is the place to find answers to your Galaxy related questions and connect with other users. Search thousands of community discussions for answers to common questions, or ask a new question when you cannot find what you need. You can get help with tools, workflows, datasets, uploads, job failures, server issues, and more.

Falco - a faster FastQC

Get the same QC plots as FastQC in a fraction of the time.

Falco produces the same quality-control reports as FastQC but runs considerably faster and uses less memory, making it well suited to large sequencing datasets. The plots and summary sections match FastQC's, so existing QC interpretations carry over directly, just swap the tool in your workflow.
