BioNT Brings Galaxy Training to German, Spanish, and Italian Learners

We are thrilled to announce that the BioNT project (Bio Network for Training) has contributed a significant set of human-curated translated Galaxy training materials to the GTN, now live and available to learners worldwide!

Awareness in Data Management and Analysis for Industry and Research

Join us at BioNT, for a 2-day online workshop. Everyone manages their data, but the question is, how well? In this two-day workshop, you will learn how to manage your data properly to make it reusable in the long term, to make your analyses reproducible, and to make your processes transparent. You will learn the basic concepts of research data management, including the FAIR Data Principles. You will also learn about relevant policies, draft a data management plan and learn about the use and benefits of electronic lab notebooks. By the end of this workshop, you will also be able to make your computational results trustworthy and reproducible. Registarion deadline is extended until the 25.02.2024.

An Introduction to High-Performance Computing

Join us at BioNT, for a 3-day workshop (comprising 1 half-day session and 2 full days) designed to introduce HPC to new audiences. The first day is dedicated to guiding participants through the basics of file systems and the Unix shell. This foundation is a prerequisite for the other days which introduces HPC resources, the cluster management tool Slurm, and how to run applications and workflows on such resources. Registarion deadline is extended until the 15.01.2024.

From Zero to Hero

A 4-day workshop to learn how to programm in Python3 for individuals who have limited or no prior programming experience. The initial 3 days are dedicated to introducing participants to fundamental concepts of Python programming. This foundation will empower participants to independently engage and gradually improve their computing skills. Close the workshop with a brief introduction of GitLab, with an exploration of Jupyter Book and guidance on hosting a website using GitLab.
