Workshop: Sustainable research computing with Galaxy: Workflows, infrastructure and practice
Two-day workshop in Madrid exploring how research workflows can be made more sustainable (19-20 November). Registration open now
Join us for a two-day workshop exploring how research workflows can be made more sustainable, with a focus on Galaxy, computational footprint, and research infrastructure. In the workshop, we will look at approaches for measuring and reducing the computational footprint of workflows, discuss how Galaxy workloads can run across distributed infrastructure, and explore practical examples from life science and other research domains.
Day 1 – Thursday, 19 November focuses on concepts, tools, and infrastructure, including sustainable research computing in Spain, Galaxy and FAIR workflows, ESG4Stars, computational footprint measurement, and distributed Galaxy infrastructure.
Day 2 – Friday, 20 November is a practical Galaxy training day, covering the basics of Galaxy and hands-on workflow creation and execution.
You can register for Day 1, Day 2, or both days. No previous Galaxy experience is required for the Day 2 training.
Participation is free, but registration is required. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
