GCC2012 Early Registration is Open

Registration is now open for the 2012 Galaxy Community Conference (GCC2012). This annual event will be held July 25-27 in Chicago, Illinois. The 2012 conference features two full days of presentations, breakouts, and lightning talks about extending, developing, deploying, and best practices for Galaxy. A day long training event has also been added, covering 7 different topics in multiple tracks.

The conference will also include talks from the Galaxy Team on future project direction, and is a chance to affect and contribute to Galaxy's future direction. If you are a bioinformatics tool developer, data provider, workflow developer, power bioinformatics user, sequencing or bioinformatics core staff, a data and analysis archival specialist, or are otherwise neck-deep in data-intensive biology then GCC2012 is for you.

There are several registration levels, with discounts of over 50% for students and post-docs. Early registration saves an additional 40% and is $95-$195 for the conference only, and $130-$270 for the conference + Training Day. Early registration ends June 11. Lodging in dorms or a nearby hotel can also be booked at registration time.

Abstracts are being accepted for oral presentations are being accepted until April 16. Submissions on any topics of interest to the Galaxy community are encouraged. (See the GCC2011 program for an idea of the breadth of topics.)

GCC2012 is hosted by the University of Illinois at Chicago, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the Computation Institute.
